The Pennington

The Pennington is a historic event venue in downtown Corbin, Kentucky, offering flexible spaces for weddings, private celebrations, corporate gatherings and other special occasions. Organisers can choose between two distinct areas, the Studio and the Loft, or combine both spaces to create a larger setting for a bigger event.

The downstairs Studio provides an accessible option for more intimate occasions such as birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers and smaller receptions. The upstairs Loft offers more room, a separate entrance and a full kitchen, making it suitable for larger gatherings. When the entire building is booked, organisers have access to approximately 6,900 square feet, multiple entrances, two kitchens, four restrooms and a custom staircase connecting the spaces. The full venue can accommodate up to around 375 guests, depending on the layout.

Wedding organisers can make use of dedicated wedding packages that include access to a bridal suite, tables and chairs, selected linens, greenery walls, a vintage sofa, mid-century chairs, a champagne wall, silk décor and a sound system. The venue also offers additional décor and event rental items, including chair covers, table linen, cocktail tables and decorative backdrops.

The Pennington gives clients freedom to choose their own caterer, bar service, florist, photographer and other event suppliers. Its fully indoor setting provides a practical option in all seasons, while its central Corbin location offers convenient access to nearby parking and accommodation. The venue is available for weddings, receptions, parties, showers, meetings and special events throughout the week, with tours arranged in advance.
