HJDB Event Center

HJDB Event Center is a flexible event venue in Bassett, Virginia, offering several spaces for private celebrations, corporate gatherings, performances and community occasions. The centre welcomes organisers planning weddings, birthday and anniversary parties, family reunions, business meetings, award ceremonies, theatrical productions, concerts, fitness sessions and other group activities.

Its banquet hall accommodates around 250 guests and is designed for receptions, dinners, parties and dancing. Event organisers can hire a range of supporting equipment and styling elements, including tables, chairs, table runners, chair covers, sashes, centrepieces, decorations, a large monitor, projector and screen. The room can also be arranged with a dance floor and DJ setup. Two attached porches provide additional seating and outdoor space, while an arch can be added for wedding ceremonies.

For larger occasions, the auditorium seats approximately 585 guests and includes a stage, sound system, microphones, podium, projection equipment, lighting and dressing room area. It is suitable for concerts, plays, recitals, film showings, dinner events, ceremonies and award programmes. Smaller organisers can use the library, which holds around 100 people, or classroom-style gathering rooms for groups of up to 30. These rooms include tables, chairs, presentation equipment, heating and air conditioning.

The gymnasium provides space for fitness activities, children’s parties, tournaments and dance events, with sports equipment and original bleacher seating available. Tours and space hire are arranged by appointment, allowing organisers to discuss their requirements and select a suitable room for their event.
