Alexander Mansion

Alexander Mansion is a historic event venue in Old East Dallas, offering an elegant and characterful setting for weddings, receptions, corporate gatherings and private celebrations. Built in 1904 and carefully preserved by the Dallas Woman’s Forum, the mansion combines period architecture with practical spaces for modern events.

The venue provides approximately 8,000 square feet of flexible event space across several interconnected rooms. The first floor includes the foyer, grand stair hall, Writing Room, French Room, Dining Room, Solarium and Library, while the second floor features the Blair Ballroom, Clark Room and two private dressing suites. The front porch, lawn and grand staircase also provide attractive areas for guest arrival, ceremonies, photographs and informal mingling.

Alexander Mansion is particularly well suited to intimate and mid-sized weddings, with capacity for up to 100 guests for a seated dinner and up to 175 guests for a cocktail-style reception. The venue also welcomes rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, bridal and baby showers, formal dinners, cocktail parties, holiday celebrations, charity events, luncheons, teas, awards presentations and corporate meetings.

Event organisers receive planning guidance, layout options, a private tour and support with coordinating approved suppliers. Catering is arranged through exclusive catering partners, who offer custom menus and staffed food and beverage service.
