The Florentine

The Florentine is a historic event venue in downtown Birmingham, Alabama, offering two distinctive spaces for weddings, corporate functions, private celebrations, fundraisers, receptions and other special gatherings.

The upper-level Ballroom combines classic architectural character with practical facilities for larger occasions. Originally built as a 1926 dance hall, it features vintage detailing, an antique dance floor, a built-in bar, adaptable lighting, wireless internet and integrated audio-visual equipment. The room can accommodate up to 300 seated guests at round tables or approximately 400 to 450 standing guests, making it suitable for formal dinners, wedding receptions, galas, dances, award ceremonies and company celebrations.

At street level, the Florentine Café provides a more intimate setting for smaller events. The café and mezzanine can host up to 100 seated guests or 250 standing guests, with a large bar, sound system, AV facilities, smart television and high-speed internet. Organisers can hire either space independently or combine both areas for events that require separate reception, dining or entertainment zones.

Event support is available through an on-site planner, food and beverage service from Corretti Catering, in-house floral and décor services, and pastry chefs.
