Het Rekreatief vzw / Villa Mariënborgh

Villa Mariënborgh is a historic event venue in Wilrijk, on the green outskirts of Antwerp. The former Jesuit retreat building has been transformed into an atmospheric setting for a wide variety of private and corporate events. Thanks to the combination of characterful halls, a spacious park, and a sunny terrace, the location provides a versatile backdrop for weddings, anniversaries, communion celebrations, receptions, corporate parties, training courses, meetings, and presentations.

The various rooms can be adapted to the size and type of event. Villa Mariënborgh welcomes groups of up to 500 people and offers both intimate spaces and larger banquet halls. For business organizers, there are practical and multifunctional rooms, free Wi-Fi, customized catering, and professional service. The green surroundings are also a pleasant asset for receptions and informal networking moments.

A tailor-made package is developed for parties. Organizers can count on support with, among other things, table arrangements, catering, and the practical planning of the day. The in-house kitchen team provides various packages, including receptions, buffets, and walking dinners. In addition, Villa Mariënborgh also offers on-location catering, for example for events at the office or at the client's home. Possible styles range from classic and Italian to Asian, Spanish, Middle Eastern, and barbecue.

The location is easily accessible via the A12 and E19 and features free parking for approximately 100 cars. Furthermore, there is an elevator and adapted toilets for wheelchair users, a bicycle storage area with a charging point, and facilities for families with children. Villa Mariënborgh is operated by Het Rekreatief vzw, a social enterprise that links event and hospitality work with opportunities for people who have more difficulty accessing the regular labor market.
