560 Music Center is a distinctive performing arts venue in University City, near St Louis’s lively Delmar Loop. Set inside a carefully restored Art Deco building with a rich musical history, the centre provides an atmospheric setting for concerts, recitals, ceremonies, talks and other cultural gatherings.

The venue includes three contrasting performance spaces. The E. Desmond Lee Concert Hall is the largest, accommodating up to 1,092 guests and offering a traditional auditorium layout, a partial-thrust stage and two Steinway pianos. It is well suited to orchestral performances, larger concerts, lectures and presentations. The Pillsbury Theatre offers a more intimate and flexible environment, with capacity for up to 200 guests, a terrazzo floor and a classic Art Deco character. It can support small concerts, receptions and varied seating arrangements. For smaller gatherings, the Recital Hall seats up to 50 guests and is suitable for piano recitals, chamber performances and ceremonies.

The centre is used by Washington University’s Department of Music and welcomes a broad programme of performances, including guest artist concerts, jazz events, orchestral concerts, choir programmes, faculty recitals and community performances. Its facilities also support presentations, meetings, ceremonies and selected event formats, with production and technical contacts available through the venue team.
