Who are we?
In 2020 our dream to start our own mobile coffee bar became reality and we owned our beautiful Piaggio Ape50. A hobby was transformed into a challenge, a barista course followed and Lion's Cup coffee was born. We, Ivo and Elske, stand for the quality and honesty of our coffee and are happy to taste it.
Where are we?
Briefly; wherever you want! We like to make a difference with quality coffee and a special experience. So could your party, company opening, wedding or other event use a shot of caffeine? Please feel free to contact us! The Piaggio can drive, we live just below Eindhoven, but if the distance is a bit further, we use our trailer to get to the location.
Our Piaggio
The eye-catcher at every event. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor locations. The single Ape has been made by the Italian manufacturer Piaggio since 1948. In 1948 the first Ape (worker bees) drove through the winding streets of Italian cities. Small dimensions, low purchase price and an indestructible two-stroke engine quickly made the Ape a popular means of transport for small Italian companies. Our Ape50 is from 1984 and was imported from Italy in 2011.
Our espresso machine
Our Bezzera B2000AL is a classic hand lever espresso machine from Italy. Known for the beautiful historic appearance and perfect coffee extraction with pre-infusion and decreasing pressure during the espresso shots. Our Bezzera has 2 brewing groups, a powerful steam function and hot water tap for tea. The boiler can hold a maximum of 11 liters, so we can move forward.
Our beans
Our Colombian coffee beans are roasted and packaged at Wasven in Eindhoven by healthcare professionals, participants and volunteers. Our 'Colombia Supremo' offers a perfect balance between rich chocolate notes, with a hint of almond and a mild freshness of lemon. Delicious nutty aroma, full body and pleasant broad aftertaste. Come taste!
SCA
In the SCA Barista training we were taught the actions and knowledge of the barista profession as established by the SCA, The Specialty Coffee Association. Together they represent thousands of coffee professionals, from farmer to barista, all over the world.
