From the beginning of May 2024, Jeroen Van Haele will be CEO of the streaming company 2 Stream. Jeroen has thirty years of experience in radio, television and online services. He worked as a presenter and creative producer for VRT, was CEO of the media and marketing house Hotel Hungaria for many years, and supported several media and marketing companies as a consultant.

Jeroen Van Haele: “I assumed a consultancy assignment but soon the demand for a larger commitment came, somewhat surprising but as always it is about the belief in the people and in the quality of the services that the company offers. At 2 Stream I met a passionate team, with high-level technological knowledge and a focus on customer satisfaction. In addition, I am given the space to add creative components to the existing services.”

Needless to say, streaming services have proven their effectiveness. During Covid, the need to meet virtually only became greater. Post-corona, in today’s fast-paced digital world, companies see more than ever the importance of efficient contact with employees and customers to strengthen their internal and external communication. Apart from streaming via the known platforms or social media, there is a more complex streaming segment where technical security is essential.

JVH: “We all know Zoom or Google Meet, but many companies ask for a guarantee that a livestream or webinar will run autonomously and flawlessly. For us, it falls under the heading of Technical Excellence. 2 Stream uses the high-performance Center Stage as a streaming platform. However, some customers prefer their own platform and we also flexibly connect to that technically. In the multifunctional studio in Zaventem, everything can be adjusted to the customer's wishes: the layout, logos, integration of text, photo, video, music. Of course, much more is technologically possible, it all depends on the demand. Many of our assignments take place on location, for example, we stream webinars from our customers' company buildings, but also large events that are viewed worldwide.”

2 Stream does not only distinguish itself through technical expertise and innovation. Customers sometimes get lost in the storytelling of their presentation, webinar or event. The company responds to this with a broader range of services.

JVH: “When people ask me what makes me happy in a job, I tell them that I walk on two legs: one business and one creative. In addition to the business economic responsibilities that I have as CEO, I like to offer the creative insights that I have acquired over the years. In the past, I had the privilege of working conceptually and editorially for radio, TV and online. I also believe I can say that I can take voices and screen faces to a higher level. When we talk about live streaming in our studio or at an external event location, it is ultimately about Storytelling & Speaking Performance. That is where the similarity with radio, TV and online lies: what do you want to say, how do you make a story relevant and captivating, in which structure do you cast it so that the audience feels that clarity, how do you increase your impact as a speaker in front of the camera or on stage. Clients who like to question themselves can come to me – and the experts who surround me.”

According to the new 2 Stream CEO, a streaming company that wants to make a difference must also be able to formally draw on an amalgam of tools that respond to customer demand.

JVH: “Storytelling is one thing, but creativity in the packaging counts just as much. Sometimes the focus is on the structure, the comprehensibility of a presentation and that is where relevant and therefore carefully chosen inserts can help. Too many speakers get lost in presentations with slides full of text. It is different when we sit down at the table to enrich a livestream event. Uniquely composed music for the intro, graphic finds, visual interventions in the digital background or in the physical decor. It makes a world of difference in the emotional transfer, in what an audience unconsciously or consciously feels. Creativity is ultimately about originality, so you can also distinguish yourself in terms of form. In short: 2 Stream offers Technical Excellence, Storytelling & Speaking performance, and Creativity. Everything with a capital letter!”
