Veldeman builds impressive temporary infrastructure for Zoute Grand Prix
Bold but well-considered, Zoute Events started in 2010 with a sensational old-timer event: the Zoute Grand Prix . Meanwhile, this event shows an astonishing growth pattern. Every year has to be better than the previous edition, and herein lies the challenge that the organization poses to Veldeman for the covering of the event! Better in innovative materials and shapes, better in a personalized appearance, better in logistical timing… Everything has to be perfect down to the smallest details!
Veldeman is building for this project at two different locations.
For Prado Zoute, all tent structures had to be built on the beach and they had to be raised to dike height. A tough challenge for the experienced mechanics of Veldeman, which they took on with great enthusiasm and perseverance.
They built about 200m aluminum halls that served as a gallery for exclusive car brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, … From the gallery visitors had access to the Zoute Sale, where they could follow the auction live by the well-known auction house Bonhams and where some of the most special cars changed hands. This continued in the impressive Boxx structure of 30m wide, 60m long and more than 10m high. Two aluminum halls were used as exhibition space for the cars that were auctioned by the renowned Bonhams auction house. Veldeman also provided a covered start and finish for the Zoute Rally and terraces from which the Rally could be followed. Various aluminum halls served as cloakrooms, backstage areas, shops, etc.
Within a short period of time, a second location also had to be built, the Royal Zoute Golf Club (Concours D'Elegance). The tight schedule of the Golf Club, which still had a busy event calendar in the run-up to Zoute Grand Prix, had to be taken into account here.
At the Royal Zoute Golf Club, Veldeman built floor platforms around the fairways for a special and spectacular exhibition of 75 unique classic & vintage cars. An aluminum hall of 1,625 m² with accompanying terrace floors and kitchen tent were used for a gala dinner.
All tent structures were personalized by means of stickers.
Veldeman ensured meticulous planning and excellent coordination on site for this handsome total project, to the great satisfaction of the organization!

Gedurfd maar weloverwogen startte Zoute Events in 2010 met een spraakmakend oldtimer gebeuren: de Zoute Grand Prix. Ondertussen vertoont dit evenement een verbluffend groeipatroon. Ieder jaar moet beter zijn dan de voorgaande editie, en hierin ligt telkens weer de uitdaging die de organisatie aan Veldeman stelt voor de overdekking van het evenement! Beter in vernieuwende materialen en vormen, beter naar gepersonaliseerde uitstraling toe, beter in logistieke timing… Alles moet perfect zijn tot in de kleinste details!
Veldeman bouwt voor dit project op twee verschillende locaties.
Voor Prado Zoute moesten alle tentstructuren op het strand gebouwd worden en moesten deze opgehoogd worden tot op dijkhoogte. Een pittige uitdaging voor de ervaren monteurs van Veldeman, die zij met veel enthousiasme en doorzettingsvermogen aangingen.
Ze bouwden zo’n 200m aluhallen die dienden als galerij voor exclusieve automerken zoals Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, … Vanuit de galerij hadden de bezoekers toegang tot de Zoute Sale, waar ze de veiling door het gekende veilinghuis Bonhams live konden volgen en waar enkele van de meest bijzondere wagens van eigenaar gewisseld werden. Deze ging door in de indrukwekkende Boxx structuur van 30m breed, 60m lang en meer dan 10m hoog. Twee aluhallen werden gebruikt als tentoonstellingsruimte van de wagens die geveild werden door het vermaarde Bonhams veilinghuis. Verder voorzag Veldeman een overdekte start en aankomst van de Zoute Rally en terrassen van waarop de Rally gevolgd kon worden. Diverse aluhallen deden dienst als vestiaire, backstageruimte, shop, …
Binnen een korte tijdspanne diende ook op een tweede locatie gebouwd te worden, de Royal Zoute Golf Club (Concours D’Elegance). Hier moest vooral rekening gehouden worden met de strakke planning van de Golf Club die nog een drukke eventkalender had in aanloop naar Zoute Grand Prix.
Bij de Royal Zoute Golf Club bouwde Veldeman rondom de fairways vloerplatformen voor een bijzondere en spectaculaire tentoonstelling van 75 unieke classic & vintage cars. Een aluhal van 1.625 m² met bijhorende terrasvloeren en keukentent werden er gebruikt voor een galadiner.
Alle tentstructuren werden gepersonaliseerd door middel van bestickering.
Veldeman zorgde voor een minutieuze planning en uitstekende coördinatie ter plaatse van dit knappe totaalproject, tot grote tevredenheid van de organisatie!
