Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZM) this summer is launching Zoom Events, an all-in-one platform for virtual events and conferences. With this new platform, event organizers can host private or public live events regardless of the number of attendees and including the option of ticket sales. Zoom Events combines the reliability and scalability of Zoom Meetings, Chat and Video Webinars.

The new platform is suitable for various types of events. Large organizations can use it to organize company meetings or, conversely, invite people from outside to conferences. Smaller organizations and entrepreneurs who already use OnZoom to organize virtual meetings such as fitness classes or cooking workshops will soon be able to do this at Zoom Events. Now available as a beta version, OnZoom will become part of Zoom Events, making it possible to keep events private or open to the public.

The main functions of Zoom Events:

- Set up an event hub where you can easily manage and share events

- Customizable ticket sales and registration

- Manage access and billing in one place

- Organize free or paid events

- Set up one-off or recurring events

- Let visitors network virtually

- Gain insight into statistics such as the number of visitors, registrations, turnover and more

- Events can be organized privately as well as offered publicly so that the public can discover your events

- Zoom Events can be used with existing paid Zoom Meetings or Video Webinar licenses.

“It is an exciting period to work at Zoom. The pace at which we innovate is constantly accelerating, ”said Oded Gal, Chief Product Officer at Zoom. “We know that people are looking for more flexibility in the way they want to attend events. The hybrid model is the future and Zoom Events is the perfect solution for our customers who want to organize events in a flexible way, whether it is a private or a public event. In this way, we help our customers scale to meet consumer expectations in the constantly evolving virtual and hybrid landscape. ”

The launch of Zoom Events is in line with the results of the recent global study, 'How Virtual Do We Want Our Future to Be?', Which focuses on the role of video communication in daily life after corona. The survey shows that nearly 79% of respondents expect all aspects of everyday life to continue to have a virtual element. Half of the respondents are open to visiting hybrid events. Zoom Events makes this possible for them.
