Wim Kellens (Lead Vocals / Drums) and JP Van Wingen (Solo Guitar) met in 2006.
Together they started a cover rock band with the full line-up: vocals, guitars, keyboards, bass, drums.
After 6 years of solid rock and many performances, they started the new project "el.akoest". The first objective was to play covers in their own acoustic way.
To give that sound a fuller sound, they took Jo Van Acker (Rhythm Guitar / Backing Vocals) in the ranks.
After a few years, the urge to play electric became bigger and bigger. With Paul Kellens (Bass Guitar) added "el.akoest" got the "drive" in it. The playlist is based on the rock songs they played acoustically, but now with an electric jacket. This supplemented with newly chosen covers.
Of course "el.akoest" has not lost its sense of purity and they still play acoustically every now and then.
